Group Tours

Our group sales department is dedicated to working with Tour Operators, Destination Marketing Firms, Travel Agencies, Hotel Concierges, Corporations, families and other groups to provide the best possible experience for their groups visiting Sedona. We believe that each client has its own specific needs and goals. Therefore, each event is custom-tailored to fit those needs. The events and activities listed here are only suggestions, and we are open to any ideas or suggestions you may have. We are very flexible and enjoy the opportunity to “make things happen”.

Group Jeep Tours

A Day in the West offers a variety of fun and informative jeep tours, ranging from 1 to 3 hours, from mild to wild, or moderate (To see descriptions of our jeep tours, click on Tours) Our fun cowboy and cowgirl guides will inform and entertain your guests, as you view the spectacular red rocks of Sedona.

Combine a Jeep Tour with one of our food options

Picnic Lunch: Lunch can be served “On the Rocks” or on a shaded rustic deck, or at the state park. Your picnic lunch will include your group’s choices of turkey, ham, or roast beef on a fresh 6 inch hoagie roll. Tomato, lettuce, and cheese platters will be provided for the sandwich toppings as well as mayonnaise and mustard packets. Along with the sandwich, you can choose a combo of fresh fruit and potato chips, or one or two fresh deli salads, such as potato salad or macaroni salad. A large homemade brownie is served for dessert. Assorted beverages or bottled water is also included. Other menus can also be made available at your request.

Cowboy Cookout: The standard menu for our Cowboy Cookout includes your choice of BBQ Steak or Chicken, served with cowboy beans, baked potato, tossed salad, homemade cornbread, and a homemade dessert. Other menus are also available.

Group Jeep Tour with Treasure Hunt

At A Day in the West, we have completely re-invented the Treasure Hunt for organizations during one of our Jeep Tours. Retaining all the excitement and playfulness of one of our jeep tours, we have transformed the activity into an educational and fun experience. Your group will break up into teams, with one team on a jeep. Each team will chose a team captain, and will then chose a name, with a western theme (like Outlaws), for their team. The goal is to work as a team to answer questions and find items to help their team earn the most points. When the jeep tour concludes, our Team Building Specialist will add up the points earned by each team and award Certificates. Including a lunch or cookout at the end of this event makes for a wonderful day.

Group Jeep Tour - Sedona Wine Tasting

Visit one of the beautiful wineries located just outside of Sedona for a wine tasting of 4 of their wines. Touring the Vineyard and learning about the process of wine making is also available for a small extra charge. Then set off to explore the western canyons of Sedona for a fun and informative jeep tour before coming back to town.

Group Jeep Tour - Walk & Picnic

Chose from any of our Jeep Tours, 1 ½ to 2 or 3 hours in length; mild, moderate, or wild, and then include an easy ½ mile walk along Oak Creek, lead by a naturalist at Red Rock State Park. The naturalist will educate your group all about the local plants indigenous to this Riparian area. They will also view some ancient pictographs along the way and will learn about the geology of the area, and how our wonderful red rocks were formed. This beautiful walk will be followed by a sandwich picnic lunch under one of the picnic Ramadas. Time to enjoy the museum and gift shop can also be included.

Group Jeep Tour - Horseback Ride

Do it all on our most popular tour! After a thrilling 2 hour jeep tour, you will be transported over to the Verde River for a 1 ½ hour horseback ride with creek crossings. After the horseback ride, you will ride your horse over to the Blazin M Ranch for a Chuckwagon Supper and Live Western Stage Show. This tour is available on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Group Horseback Rides

All our horseback riding takes place at Deadhorse State Park in Cottonwood, an easy 30 minute ride from Sedona. (Groups can be transported to the Park, or can go there directly) All rides take place along the banks of the Verde River, and include river crossings. We offer either a one hour or an hour and one and one-half hour ride.
